Ronald McDonald House
A comfortable place of respite for families, allowing them to be close to their hospitalised child, complete with meals, private bedrooms and bathrooms, and a playroom for kids. We believe that when a child is hospitalised, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
Ronald McDonald Family Room
A place within the hospital for caretakers to rest and regroup, near their sick child’s room, with quiet space to recharge.
How You Can Help Families - Small Change, Big Difference
Every time you visit McDonald’s®, you can support RMHC programs and make a donation by simply choosing to donate $2, $5, $10 or to round-up your bill to the next dollar when you place your order via our Self-Ordering Kiosks. In addition, McDonald’s® donates $0.05 to RMHC for every purchase of a Happy Meal®.
RMHC is McDonald's charity of choice. Together with customers, we are making a difference for the families we serve in our communities.

For the Love of Families
McHappy Day is an annual fundraiser organised by McDonald’s® in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Singapore.
These are some of our McHappy Day highlights over the years.
Support with a Strawberry Sundae
$1 from every purchase of Strawberry Sundaes helped to raise S$50,000 for the charity.
Small Change, Big Difference
We rolled out a series of activities to demonstrate how small change can make a big difference in the lives of young children. Initiatives and activities included:
- $1 from every purchase of a Chicken McNuggets® Extra Value Meal™ raised $50,000 for the charity
- Collaborated with creative expressionists The Band of Doodlers to depict the hopes and dreams of RMHC Singapore beneficiaries
- Donation surprises for customers who donated their change – big or small – in the form of ‘thank you’ cards and handwritten notes from the RMHC beneficiaries
Pass on the Happiness
Our customers joined us in Passing on the Happiness by purchasing a Vanilla Cone to donate another (worth 80 cents) to RMHC.
Show Your Stripes
The iconic red and white “stripey socks” were sold to raise funds for the charity. For the first time ever, we also offered customers the option to make e-donations via our Self-Ordering Kiosks in our restaurants.
Tap to Make a Difference
We reminded customers that a simple tap on our Self-Ordering Kiosks to donate to RMHC could make a big difference in the lives of sick children.
