All proceeds will go to the charity’s initiatives including its “home-away-from-home” programme in which families with children who are hospitalised can stay close together.

Celebrate the New Year joy with McDonald’s All Day Breakfast

Adding cheer to the New Year, McDonald’s will be offering All Day Breakfasts from 1 to 4 January 2015 for all breakfast-lovers. Breakfast favourites such as Hotcakes Meal, Hotcakes with Sausage Meal and Breakfast Deluxe Meal will be available  till 5pm over the four days at all McDonald’s restaurants in Singapore.

“For the first time ever, we are organising a pyjama party as a fun way to wrap up the year and to thank our customers for their support over the years. We also know that the New Year is filled with festive parties, which is why we wanted to offer our customers the option of waking up later in the day and still be able to walk into our restaurants to enjoy their breakfast meals. We believe that the pyjama party and All Day Breakfast will be a great way to celebrate and bring the cheer of breakfast and the New Year to as many people as possible”, said Ms Carolyn Khiu, Director of Corporate Communications, eCommerce & Customer Relations, McDonald’s Singapore.

All Day Sunrise

To start 2015 on a positive note, McDonald’s will also be creating its first All Day Sunrise video. The video will feature the sunrise shot and broadcast live from some of the most iconic cities around the world. Starting with Gisborne, New Zealand – the world’s first city to witness sunrise in 2015, the video will then move westward, following the sunrise over different cities throughout the day. Start a brand new year with McDonald’s by watching the sunrise on 1 January 2015 at getupandgo.sg.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) Singapore and RMH@NUH

Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) Singapore is an independently administered charity incepted in 1989 on a simple mission – to directly improve the health and well-being of children in Singapore.  In January 2013, the charity started a Ronald McDonald House™ (RMH) with the support of National University Hospital (NUH) Paediatric Department to provide a “home-away-from-home” for families to stay close to their hospitalised child.

In the past, RMHC Singapore has helped more than 900 needy children in Singapore with their medical, surgical and rehabilitative treatment cost amounting to over S$5 million in grants.

In 2014, RMHC Singapore has also committed S$379,000 in its Grant Programme where funding is provided to support projects presented by various public hospitals and non-profit/voluntary welfare organisations that align with their mission of creating, finding, and supporting programmes that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.

RMHC Singapore is currently at the planning stages of a Ronald McDonald Family Room at NUH to cater to families whose children are receiving treatment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

RMHC Singapore funds its operations through the support of donations from the general public and well-wishers in Singapore through various fundraisers and the collection from RMHC Singapore donation boxes that are placed at all McDonald’s restaurants nationwide.  Being one of the major corporate mission partners of the charity, McDonald’s also contributes 5 cents from every sale of its Happy Meals to the charity.
