Q. What is this new McDonald’s App?

A. My McDonald’s App is a new app designed for all loyal customers and fans of McDonald’s so they can be rewarded with special deals to better enjoy their favourite menu items.

With various functions and tabs like McDelivery, Deals, Feedback and information on the latest promotional items, it is now easy to enjoy everything McDonald’s has to offer within a single app.

Q. How is it different from the other McDonald’s apps like My Feedback, McCafé, etc.?

A. My McDonald’s App makes it more convenient for you to access all the various functions and information within a single app.

Q. What will happen to all my other McDonald’s apps and deals that I’ve accumulated?

A. With the consolidation of all the apps under My McDonald’s App, apps like My Feedback and McCafé® Devotee apps will no longer be in use. These apps and their deals will also expire with the launch of the My McDonald’s App, where new and exciting deals will be made available!

Q. My McDonald’s App has a McDelivery tab, does that mean I can delete my McDelivery app?

A. You can order McDelivery® via My McDonald’s App but you may receive personalized push messages via the McDelivery® app!

Q. Can I use the same email and password on my McDelivery app for My McDonald’s App

A. You will still need to create a new account when you first download My McDonald’s App, but you can use your existing McDelivery® email/password when you order McDelivery® page.

Q. I currently do not have any McDonald’s-related apps. Do I need to download both the McDonald’s app and McDelivery app?

A. You can access McDelivery via My McDonald’s App.

Q. Can I use My McDonald’s App in other countries?

A. Yes, you may use the app in other countries. All you have to do is to indicate which country you are currently in under the app’s setting. Do note that you can only use the deals available for that market, e.g. Deals for McDonald’s Singapore is only redeemable in Singapore.

Q. Can I share deals with others?

A. My McDonald’s App and access to the deals available are tied strictly to your account created. You may instead encourage your friends to download the app – it’s free and they can also enjoy deals that come with My McDonald’s App.

Q. Why are my deals different (as compared to someone else’s account)?

A. Our deals are personalised! This means that some of the deals may be exclusive just for you. The deals are non-transferable and can only be redeemed by the account that it was meant for.


Q. How do I redeem my deals?

A. After downloading My McDonald’s App from your app store, the app will guide you through a step-by-step process to create an Account that will give you access to various deals. With My McDonald’s App, you can redeem various kinds of deals at our restaurants’ Front Counter, Self-Order Kiosk and even Drive-Thru!

Just keep a lookout for the Tutorial video in the app.

Q. How do I know when a new deal is available?

A. We have new deals regularly! To avoid missing out on the latest deals, you can have the app’s notifications turned on, and be alerted when deals are available in your area.

Q. Can I run the My McDonald’s App on a tablet? I have multiple devices, can I still use the app on my devices?

A. Please note that My McDonald’s App is designed to be used on smartphones only.

Q. Can I use the McDonald’s App without a data connection?

A. My McDonald’s App requires a data connection and cannot be used offline.

Q. I am having issues registering. Why is this so?

A. My McDonald’s app currently supports Android 7.1 (API level 25) and iOS 12.1 or later. Do also ensure that you have the latest version of the app. Do note that the app will not work on devices that have been ‘jailbroken’. If you’re still having issues, do reach out to us via the “Contact Us” tab.

Do note that your password must begin with a letter or number, have at least 8 characters, contain 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 digit E.g. “McDonalds123#” is accepted, but “#McDonalds123” is not accepted.

Q. What happens if I forget my password?

A. Not to worry, you can still access your McDonald’s App account. You can click on the ‘Can’t remember your password?’ link on the log in page and follow the instructions sent to your registered email to reset your password.

Q. How do I update my personal details?

A. You can change your personal details when you click on the ‘Edit’ tab when you are in the ‘My Account’ page.

Q. Can I change my email address under my profile?

A. You can edit it when you click on the ‘Edit’ tab when you are in the ‘My Account’ page.

Q. What is the difference between the “Feedback” tab and the “Contact us” tab?

A. The “Feedback” tab helps our valued customers share their feedback on our products, service or experience with us. Our “Contact us” tab is for customers who need assistance with their account details.

Q. The page hung and couldn’t load when I tried to redeem my deal. Now, the deal is gone. What should I do?

A. If it is a repeatable deal, it will return the next day. If not, unfortunately it is no longer available. Fret not, do keep a look for upcoming deals! Kindly reach out to our friendly crew who will be able to assist you.

Q. The QR code and/or scanner is not working. How can I still redeem my deal(s)?

A. You can still redeem your deal by tapping on the QR code for an alpha-numeric code. You can then show the alpha-numeric code to a crew or type it in the kiosk to claim your deal.

Q. I have more than one deal. Can I redeem more than one deal at the same time?

A. You may only redeem one deal per transaction.

Q. How long do I have to redeem my deal? Will it expire?

A. All deals are individually labeled with an expiry date and its terms and conditions.

Q. My deal has expired, but I still want to use it. Is that possible?

A. Sorry Sir/Madam, the deal you are looking to redeem has expired. But don’t worry, as an App user, there are new deals that will be made available. Check back in to your App for the latest deals or enable the App’s notification to get alerts.

Q. I accidentally hit the “REDEEM NOW” button and was not able to scan the QR code within the redemption countdown time. Is my deal gone?

A. That’s OK! The deal will only expire when you complete payment, so don’t worry and please be patient as the app refreshes, the deal will still be valid within the stated promotion period.

Q. I am having issues with keying in promo code for deals. Why is this so?

A. Do also ensure that you have the latest version of the app and you are connected to the internet. After keying in the promo code, do stay on the page until the “View My Deals” button appears. If you’re still having issues, do reach out to us via the “Contact Us” tab.

Q. Am I able to use the deals at any time of the day?

A. It depends! You may notice that there are many different deals to choose from. Each deal will have their own time of day or redemption period, e.g. breakfast deals and food items can be redeemed during breakfast hours.

Q. Can I change my deal(s) for a similar priced product?

A. Unfortunately, the deals are not transferrable or replaceable.

Q. Can I do the redemption at all your restaurants in Singapore?

A. Depending on the specific deal and item, some may be limited to availability at certain stores, Dessert Kiosks, McCafé® or while stocks last.

Q. If the deal that I received is out of stock, will I get a replacement?

A. Our deals are limited while stocks last. But don’t worry, keep a look out for more exciting deals that are coming!

Q. Is it possible to use a voucher/BOG card together with a deal?

A. Unfortunately, vouchers/BOG cards or other promotions are not able to be used on top of My McDonald’s App deal.

Q. I’ve already made payment for my order. But now I want to use my deal. Can I still redeem/use my deal?

A. Unfortunately, once payment is made, we cannot use the deal for a completed purchase. Please visit us again to redeem the deals!


Q. What is 2FA?

A. 2FA stands for two-factor authentication.
2FA is used in many digital platforms like SingPass and banking apps as an extra layer of security to make sure people trying to access to an online account with personal or sensitive data, are who they say they are.

Q. I’m already a McDonald’s App user. Why do I still have to authenticate myself with 2FA?

A. We are introducing 2FA to the McDonald’s App as an added layer of security for our users to better protect their data and personal information.

Q. Why are you implementing this now? Does this mean my McDonald’s App was previously not secure?

A. We understand that these additional steps take up more time. However, we are always striving to enhance the security of our McDonald’s App. This added layer of 2FA will better protect our users’ data and personal information.

Q. How do I enable 2FA?

Q: What happens when I activate 2FA?

A: The One Time Passcode (OTP 6-digit number) will be sent to the email address you used to register for the McDonald’s App.

Q: What if I have keyed in a wrong email address?

A: Please make sure you have a valid email address set in your account details.

Q: What if I do not have an email address?

A: You will need a valid email address to use My McDonald’s App.

Q: How fast will I be able to receive the OTP via email?

A: As the OTP is delivered using email, it is dependent on the email provider’s network and traffic condition. Therefore, there may be some delays during peak periods or on certain days; public holidays like Christmas.

Q: How long is the OTP valid for?

A: It is valid for 4 hours. If you have requested for it and haven’t received it, please wait for 5 mins before requesting again.

Q: Is 2FA OTP chargeable?

A: It is offered free of charge, but you may incur data / network charges from your mobile operator.

Q. How many times can I request for 2FA OTP?

A. There is no limit to the number of times you request for it.

Q. How many times can I try to enter the 2FA OTP before being locked out?

A. 5 times . After which, please wait for 10mins before trying again.

Q. What happens if I forget my email/password. How can I authenticate my app with 2FA?

A. Not to worry, if you have forgotten your password you can still access your McDonald’s App account. You can click on the ‘Can’t remember your password?’ link on the log in page and follow the instructions sent to your registered email to reset your password. You can then authenticate your account on your McDonald’s App.
If you have forgotten your email address, you need to create a new account.

Q. When does the McDonald’s App require me to 2FA?

A. From 2 Dec 2020, 2FA will be mandatory for better user security and protection when accessing My McDonald’s App.

Q. What happens if I do not authenticate myself with 2FA?

A. From 2 Dec 2020, My McDonald’s App users will not be able to access their account and enjoy the available deals without 2FA.

Q: If I have turned on 2FA OTP, can I turn it off?

A: No, you will not be able to. But your account is now more secure!

Q: How often will user be prompted for 2FA OTP?

A: You will need to key in the 2FA OTP whenever you log in to the McDonald’s App.

Q: How often does the user have to log in?

A: When you log in to the McDonald’s App, you will stay logged in if you use the app at least once every 90 days. Updating the app either automatic or manually will not result in the user being logged out
In the following scenarios, you will be logged out and must log in again before you do anything else:

  • If you log out from within the accounts section of the app
  • If you do not use the app for >90 days
  • If you uninstall My McDonald’s App and install it again
  • If you decline to accept the T&Cs
  • If you have not onboarded to 2FA by 1 Dec 2020, you will be logged out and will have to log in again
