Singapore, May 19, 2005 JAPAN’S ‘ANGEL BLUE’ FIGURES FLY INTO McDONALD’S HAPPY MEALS! Young fans of the kawaii Angel Blue brand of apparel from Japan are in for a treat. From May 19, 2005, McDonald’s will offer an Angel Blue toy with every Happy Meal purchase.

Created by Japanese designer Narumiya, the Angel Blue line of clothes features cartoon-like characters in pastel colours that are popular with young girls and teenagers. Characters include Nakamura-kun, a bear-like creature with big eyes and Kappe-kun, a pink rabbit-like character.

There are six Happy Meal toy designs to choose from: the Nakamura-kun Roller Stamper, Hana-chan Flashing Stamper, Kappe-kun Truck, Ohoho Panda French Fries Car, Nakamura-kun Flashing Stamper and Honey Devil Roller Stamper. Create pretty prints with the stamps or wind up the toys and watch them zip by.

Nakamura-kun Roller Stamper – Bubbly in blue, Nakamura-kun flashes its trademark smile as it sits atop a burger. Uncap the burger and roll the toy on paper to create alternating Nakamura-kun and burger prints. As you roll the stamp, the hearts in Nakamura-kun’s ears light up too!

Hana-chan Flashing Stamper – Wide-eyed Hana-chan sits atop a burger. Uncap the burger and watch Hana-chan light up in yellow flashes when you use the stamp to create Hana-chan prints. The stamp also comes with a plastic key ring so you can attach Hana-chan onto your schoolbag.

Kappe-kun Truck – Little Kappe-Kun is content to zip around in its baby blue McDonald’s truck. Wind the truck up and watch it zoom off.

Ohoho Panda French Fries Car – Ohoho Panda grabs attention in his potato car, a giant packet of McDonald’s fries! Wind up the toy and release the fries on wheels.

Nakamura-kun Flashing Stamper – Nakamura-kun lights up in blue when you press the stamp to create Nakamura-kun prints. The stamp also comes with a plastic key-ring for you to display Nakamura-kun on your schoolbag.

Honey Devil Roller Stamper – Honey Devil, the impish character with a sweet tooth, rolls about atop a burger. Uncap the burger and create alternating Honey Devil and French Fries prints.
