They call it “i-stories" at McDonald’s. That is abbreviated from “i’m lovin it" and “inspirational" stories, and since last Thursday, 17 such stories have taken centre stage at the Raffles and City Hall MRT stations. “We have been sharing our i-stories in schools and tertiary institutions over the last three years and discovered that they are powerful means to tell stories of real opportunities at McDonald’s. We are immensely proud to celebrate our people excellence i-stories and the endless opportunities for individuals who seek a career with us at the Golden Arches," said Ms Eunice Lee, Director of Human Resource and Development, McDonald’s Restaurants. The 17 individuals featured in the advertising are: Jeffrey Tan (Director of Operations; started as crew in 1979) From individuals like Jeffery Tan (started as a crew member at McDonald’s first Singapore restaurant in 1979 and now Director of Operations in charge of all restaurants island-wide) to Fiona Lee (student, part-time Service Ambassador and national track and field athlete), these are stories about real people lovin’ it at McDonald’s. “McDonald’s is all about having people with the “forever young" spirit which brand McDonald’s stands for, people who can take care of customers with polite, attentive and connective service, and who take care of each other as we grow the business together. Above all, this i-stories campaign serves to demonstrate that we value our people – who they are today, who they could be tomorrow,“ said Eunice Lee. The creative agency for the McDonald’s i-stories campaign is TMP Worldwide and media agency is OMD. The campaign runs April 5 till April 25, 2007. |
