Where would a Big Mac be without its sesame seed bun?

Our buns are locally baked to ensure they come fresh everyday. Only the finest ingredients are used: high protein flour, water and yeast to which small quantities of sugar, salt and oil are added. Once baked and cooled, they are gently sliced and sealed in air-tight packages for almost immediate delivery. So exacting are McDonald’s standards, that every bun that arrives in our restaurants is of the same size and of uniform shape. If you’re a Big Mac fan, you’ll know that even the quantity of sesame seeds atop every bun remains pretty much the same.

 

Fast Fact
Toasting the buns in our kitchens, just before putting the sandwich together, brings out the freshness and flavour and seals the crumbs.
