Balance is a simple concept. But the pressures of everyday life make it difficult to achieve. As a society, we’re busier than ever before and figuring out how to stay healthy while juggling all other daily priorities isn’t always easy.

At McDonald’s we’re working at many levels to help people identify fun, realistic ways to incorporate balance into their everyday lives. We’ve come up with a catchy way to encapsulate this important principal: Energy IN = Energy OUT. What this means is that the energy from the food you eat should balance with the energy expended by what you do. Is this equation true for you?

Find an activity that you love, and that gets you going. Is grooving to the beat your idea of a good time? Do you feel the urge to just put on your jogging shoes and run? If it makes you happy, and keeps you healthy, we’re lovin’ it!

Bringing Communities Together in Sport

McDonald’s has been the official restaurant of the Olympic Games since the first batch of hamburgers was airlifted to athletes competing in the 1968 Games in France. And now, for the first time in Olympic history, McDonald’s has signed an agreement that will keep us a Global Sponsor all the way through to the 2012 games.

But it’s not just Olympics that we support. We look for sports reflective of our own values: universality, accessibility and team spirit. That’s why you’ll see us cheering you on at the New Paper Big Walk every year, and why we go to great lengths to support the annual Olympic Day Runs. If an activity brings people in a community together for healthy, joyful activity - We’re game!
