McDonald’s was placed 5th among Singapore’s Top 10 Best Employers. The award marked the first time that a company in the Quick Service Restaurant sector was singled out among more than 750 participating companies as one of Singapore’s Top 10 Best Employers.

At the Creative Circle Awards, McDonald's "Fold, Shake & Count" advertisement in Lianhe Zaobao won all the awards given out under the Hotels/Restaurants category. The interactive advertisements invited readers to fold, shake and count selected elements to unravel a hidden message.
